Process - Libra Television 'Ease The Load'

Libra Television commissioned us to produce a title sequence for 'Ease the Load', a 12 part series on digital channel Teachers’ TV, which aims to help teachers better manage their work load and work/life balance.

We came up with a list of adjectives describing emotions experienced by teachers in a busy school environment. The list included words like 'anxious', 'frantic' and 'stretched'. We then filmed short sequences for each of the words which illustrated the words animating in an onamatopoeic way. For example the sequence for the word 'shattered' was created by letrasetting the word onto a glass pane and then filming the glass as it smashed when hit by a hammer, whilst the word 'stress' was hand drawn on a balloon, which was then inflated.
